Bath Remodel & Tile Installation

A bathroom makeover is an easy way to spruce up your home.  Before you start any bathroom remodeling, you should settle on a new design that fits your vision. There are so many ways to approach a bathroom makeover, ranging from swapping out the vanity to gutting the space and starting over from scratch.

Here are a few design elements you should consider:

  • New fixtures: Will you replace or remodel your shower or tub? Do you want a combination shower and bath tub if you have the space? Are you wanting a single or double bathroom vanity?
  • Types of surfaces: Your bathroom’s surfaces do more than just contribute to the overall aesthetic. They also take lots of abuse. Porcelain tile is a favorite among our customers. We recommend larger tile sizes to minimize grout lines, easing the upkeep. That might mean  12-by-18 inch on some or all of the walls, perhaps transitioning to a glass mosaic strip in the middle. Your shower floor should be smaller tile this helps make a smoother transition when slopping it to the drain. When it comes to the counter tops, granite and quartz have migrated from the kitchen into the bathroom, where they deliver the same durability and visual interest. Laminate and solid surface are still popular as well, and can be cost-effective options.
  • Color scheme: Are you a fan of blue hues? Or perhaps shades of gray fit the rest of your decor? Know ahead of time to make sure your new bathroom tiles don’t clash with your choice of paint.
  • Storage spaces: Running from the shower to grab a towel from the hallway linen closet gets old fast.  If you’re removing a closet to expand the room, make sure you have shelving or cabinets to make up for the lost storage space in your bathroom
